Administrative & Accounting Assistant
We are currently seeking a qualified Administrative & Accounting Assistant to join our growing team at Spacek Armstrong & Norrad (“SAN”) in Fredericton.
As Administrative & Accounting Assistant you will play a key role in providing outstanding service to the firm’s clientele, as well as supporting your colleagues. You will be relied on to be organized, courteous and professional at all times.
Your primary responsibility will be administrative support to the firm’s professional staff and partners, and assistance with client work on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities and Duties
•Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
•Answer and forward incoming phone calls, take payment details and provide basic information when applicable
•Schedule meetings and appointments
•Assemble client financial statement and tax packages
•Prepare external correspondence for the partners’ approval and signature
•Perform data entry using various accounting software packages, including Sage 50 and QuickBooks online
•Reconcile bank and credit card statements
•Prepare various reports to assist with management of the firm
•Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, etc.
•Order office supplies and materials
•Appropriately handle confidential records
•Other duties and tasks as required
Qualifications and Skills
•Work experience in a similar role (CPA firm preferred)
•Experience with Sage 50, QuickBooks Online, CaseWare, Profile tax preparation software considered an asset
•Proficient with MS Office Suite
•Professional attitude and attention to detail
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to organize, prioritize and work under pressure
